It's Greased Lightning!!
Well, I am speechless.
In Sydney we had THE most amazing electrical storm I have ever seen.
Apparently at the height of the storm, between 10:30 and 11pm there were up to 65 strikes a minute. That's SIXTY FIVE lightning strikes that actually hit the ground, more than one a second.
I sat huddled on my dining room floor so I could watch it to the north but not be too close to the window. It was the most amazing thing I have EVER seen.
And judging by some of the photos taken over the actual city it looks like us 'westies' missed out on a lot of the action. There are a few images of the harbour bridge and the sydney sky tower being hit.
